Thank you Belfair 1811 Charitable Fund

The Belfair 1811 Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry awarded a grant in early April to support Meals on Wheels, Bluffton-Hilton Head meal program. In 2024 it was projected that over 48,000 meals will be delivered to our clients on Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and Sun City. After the first quarter that number has jumped to a whopping 60,000 meals to be delivered.

The support of organizations like the Belfair 1811 Charitable Fund is critical to providing hot nutritious meals to our senior neighbors. It is more than a meal. The knock on the door also provides a wellness check and a social connection that is so precious for the mental health of our older neighbors. Social isolation is as harmful as smoking 13 cigarettes a day. Thank you, Belfair neighbors. You helped finance meals for your neighbors in Bluffton.
